Posted Date: 05/14/26 (10:00 AM)

Today we are honored to recognize the Valedictorian of the 2026 Class, Madison Ferrell!

A young woman with long, wavy brown hair smiles warmly, wearing a cream-colored sweater and dark jeans.

After graduation, Madison will attend West Liberty University, where she will continue both her academic and athletic career. She plans to double major in Marketing and Visual Communication Design, with a concentration in Graphic Design, while competing as a member of the Hilltoppers softball team. Madison has earned numerous scholarships in recognition of her hard work, including multiple academic and athletic awards from West Liberty University, as well as scholarships from the Hamilton Community Foundation, Middletown Community Foundation, and other local organizations.

Madison would like to first thank God for guiding her throughout this journey. She is incredibly grateful to her family—her parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, and uncles—for their constant support and encouragement. She gives a special thank you to her dad, mom, and brother for the countless hours spent supporting her at games, traveling to tournaments, and helping her prepare academically. She also extends appreciation to her boyfriend and his family, along with her teachers, school staff, coaches, and teammates, all of whom have played an important role in her success.

Throughout high school, Madison has been a dedicated leader and role model. She has served as Vice President of the senior class Student Council, is a member of National Honor Society, and is the captain of the varsity softball team.

Some of Madison’s favorite high school memories include building lasting friendships, studying alongside her peers and celebrating shared success, growing in confidence, and creating moments she will carry with her long after graduation.

Congratulations, Madison! Your hard work, leadership, and determination have truly set you apart. We look forward to celebrating you and all of the Class of 2026 at graduation tomorrow, and we can’t wait to see all that you accomplish in the future!
