Dear Parents,
Your child will be performing in the upcoming concert to be held on Tuesday, February
6th, or Thursday, February 8th in the Edgewood Middle School auditorium. The class
your child is in will determine what night your student will be performing and will be
listed below. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. and performers will need to be at the
auditorium by 6:00 p.m.
This is our first Grade 1 concert in years, and we are excited to showcase our
collaborative Edgewood music and art for this program. Each child will have special
parts to play in the performance. To help us in our rehearsals, please return the
attached portion of this letter as soon as possible so that I know who will participate in
the concert.
It is our expectation at EPS that all first grade students will be in the concert. This is our
chance to show families and teachers what we do in music class at EPS, and give
students a valuable performance experience they do not get in the classroom. Student
art will be displayed throughout the performance. The entire concert will last
approximately 45 minutes.
Concert Clothes for Performers:
Students will have the opportunity to purchase a t-shirt that they will wear for the
performance. The t-shirt will cost $8. If you would like to order your child a shirt for the
performance, please have the permission slip, size of shirt, and money turned in by
January 19th. If you are unable to purchase a shirt, the attire for the concert will be a
black shirt and black pants. All performers will be wearing all black for this
performance.
