Women in Engineering Presentation Provides Insight to EMS Students

On February 10, 8th grade EMS female students had the opportunity to discuss a career in engineering with four female engineers from Johnson and Johnson, Ethicon Endo-Surgery Division.  The engineers discussed how they became involved in engineering, what classes students should focus on at EHS, and what a typical day is for an engineer.  We could not get to all of the questions the girls wanted to ask; therefore, the Ethicon engineers are taking all of their questions, answering them in writing, and sending those back for the girls to see.

Special thanks to Jason Orlando (Butler Tech Engineer Instructor), Heather Knox (Ethicon Engineer), Andrea Hobson (Career Readiness), Darren Steiner (Technical Advisor), and Bill Poehner (7th grade STEM Instructor) for working together to bring this opportunity to some of our future engineers.
