Spectator Guidelines for Athletics

Edgewood Athletics

The spectator guidelines for athletics are revised upon receiving the Governor’s Order that provides new mandatory requirements for youth, collegiate, amateur, club, and professional sports. Spectators are permitted to attend Sports events, with exceptions and limitations outlined in the Order.

The primary purpose of permitting sports spectators is to allow and encourage the family and household members and loved ones of players, coaches, team staff members, officials, and other event participants to observe and share in the experience. Each student-athlete, staff member, spectator (student-athletes family’s and household members) must comply with the Order. Please review these updates and expectations. Your cooperation is much appreciated. The links for each sport are provided for you.

HOME GAMES: CAPACITY RESTRICTIONS, Ticketing Guidelines for Spectators:

Spectator size is reduced to 15% of seating capacity for each venue. For school sports, we will prioritize ticket distribution to the student-athlete’s family and household members. General public sales for tickets will be minimal, if any due to the capacity limits of our Athletic facilities.

All tickets allotted to student-athletes family’s and household members must be purchased online. No in-person cash transactions will be permitted. Please use this link when ordering tickets, then follow the steps below:  https://edgewoodcougarathletics.com/edgewood-cougar-tickets/

** Each student-athlete will have an allotted amount of tickets per game, that number will be shared with you by your son or daughter’s coach and our Athletic Twitter. Please follow us at: @EdgewoodAD

All Season Passes and Punch Cards have been suspended until further notice. This action has been taken to assist us in controlling monitor attendance .

GUIDELINES FOR ALL SPECTATORS:

Spectators must conduct daily symptom checks. Anyone experiencing symptoms should stay home. According to the CDC, COVID-19 symptoms include fever or chills,

cough, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headaches, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea.

Spectators must wear face coverings at all times except for one of the reasons stated in the Director's Order for Facial Coverings throughout the State of Ohio, signed July 23, 2020, or as it may hereafter be amended.

Family and household members should sit together, socially-distanced from other individuals/family/household groups. Each group should sit in the same location for the duration of the event. Markers will be used on the bleachers to help determine safe spacing.

Six-feet social distancing must be maintained between individuals/family/household groups.

No congregating before or after games is permitted.

CONCESSIONS:

The Edgewood Band Boosters will be operating concessions for events and will follow ODH guidance for Restaurants, Bars, Banquet & Catering Facilities/Services.

AWAY GAME TICKETS:

Each host school will operate differently. For example, one school may give us an allotment per athlete, while another may be first-come-first-serve through their website.
