To our Remote Learning Option Families,

Welcome to the Remote Learning Option at Edgewood. Below is important information that will help you and your child be prepared for the start of the school year.

  • Families of students in grades K- 5th Grade: Your child's teacher will be reaching out to you in the near future regarding supply lists, virtual meeting session schedules, and other specifics regarding your child's education.
  • Families of students in Grades 6-12 : You will be receiving your child's schedule from the building the same as face-to-face learners. Please contact the building to which your child is assigned with questions about his/her schedule.
  • Teachers will also communicate the programs/platforms being used for your child's class as many of the programs are specific to certain ages and grade bands.

We will begin remote learning the week of August 31st. We will follow a staggered schedule on the first week of class, as explained in our Fall 2020 Reopening Plan. • You may be contacted to pick up materials or drop off assigned materials at your child's school before or during the school year. This could include novels being taught in class, workbooks, and other materials to support your child’s learning. Your child's teacher or their assigned building will contact you about that procedure.
  • School fees still apply to remote learners. Contact your student’s assigned building about the process for paying your child’s school fees.
  • Videos will be provided to assist students logging into their virtual sessions or Google Classroom. These videos will be posted on the district’s website. An email will be sent to our remote learner families once these are available.
