Edgewood High School

On the evening of July 15, our coaches were provided information, by our Athletic Director, regarding the wearing of masks by coaches, staff, and student-athletes while participating in athletic activities. This morning, July, 16  information was shared by the OHSAA  (Ohio High School Athletic Association) that additional clarification would be issued regarding the wearing of masks while practicing and participating in sports. Upon receiving this notification, our coaches were notified not to take action on passing any information along to our student-athletes.  However, due to the start time of some of our practices, the information was passed on to some of our student-athletes.  We apologize for any confusion or misunderstanding the information caused for our parents, staff, and student-athletes.  Our district will wait for direction and clarification from the OHSAA regarding the wearing of masks while practicing and playing sports. We anticipate these guidelines will be issued in the next day or two from OHSAA.  Once these guidelines are available, they will be shared with our coaches, staff, parents, and players.
