May 21 is the last day of school for our students. This has been a year that none of us will ever forget! We miss our Cougars and look forward to when we will be together again. Until then, we wish you and your family a wonderful and safe summer break. Please take a minute to review the following information as we wrap up this school year:

Report Card Distribution Plan

  • Babeck Early Childhood Center- report cards will be mailed to the student's home on Tuesday, May 26.

  • Seven Mile Elementary School- report cards will be mailed to the student’s home on Tuesday, May 26.

  • Edgewood Elementary School- report cards will be mailed to the student’s home on Tuesday, May 26.

  • Edgewood Middle School- report cards will be mailed to the student’s home on Monday, June 1.

  • Edgewood High School- report cards will be mailed to the student’s home on Monday, June 1.

Area Summer Lunch Programs

  • MidPointe Library- (sponsored by the Trenton branch of the MidPointe Library)

    • Location Where Meals will be Served:

      • Home Avenue Park, Trenton

        • Located on West Home Avenue between South 1st Street and Cypress Avenue. Meals will be distributed from the shelter by the baseball diamonds. 

      • Please enter from South 1st Street and exit via Cypress. Meals will be handed out “drive-thru” style. 

    • Dates of Program:

      • Service begins on Wednesday, May 27 through Friday, August 14.

    • Serving Dates and Times:

      • 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM, Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays

        • Monday: Serving lunches and snacks for Monday and Tuesday

        • Wednesday: Serving lunches and snacks for Wednesday and Thursday

        • Friday: Serving lunches and snacks for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

    • Who’s Eligible?

      • Children ages 0-18 are eligible for this program.

      • Parents can pick-up meals for children, if not present.

  • Hamilton City Schools

    • Click here for details regarding the Hamilton “Grab n’ Go” meal program. Children ages 18 and under, from Hamilton and the surrounding areas, are eligible to participate. Children must be present to receive the meals.

  • Lakota Local Schools

    • Click here for details regarding Lakota’s Mobile Food program. Children ages 1-18 from Lakota and surrounding areas are eligible to participate. Meals will be given based on the number of children present. 

Shared Harvest

  • Shared Harvest has scheduled another Drive Through Food Distribution event on Saturday, June 6 at Fairfield High School from 10 am- 2 pm. Anyone needing food or assistance is welcome.

 Changes to Use of Athletic Facilities for Skills Training

  • Governor DeWine announced this afternoon, May 21, that changes to the order signed by Dr. Amy Acton, the Director of the Department of Health, has been amended to allow school districts to determine the usage of school athletic facilities for skills training. The OHSAA (Ohio High School Athletics Association) is providing additional information and guidance to assist schools in making these changes. 

  • Edgewood will communicate more information in the upcoming days regarding these changes. Our goal is to ensure all appropriate measures are taken to ensure a safe environment for all our athletes, coaches, and staff.  Your patience is appreciated.

 Open Enrollment Reminder:

  • Open Enrollment applications for the 2020-2021 school year are now being accepted through Friday, June 26. 

  • If your child attended Edgewood as an open enrolled student, this school year, and they plan on attending Edgewood for the 2020-2021 school year, parents must reapply for Open Enrollment.

Kindergarten Registration:

  • If you, or someone you know, have a child ready to enter Kindergarten next school year, please call the Edgewood Central Registration Office to schedule an appointment to begin the registration process. 

  • Call (513) 867-3416, from 8 am- 3:30 pm, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. (Note: The office will be closed Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day).

  • Students must be 5 years old by August 1, 2020 in order to register for Kindergarten.

  • Registration continues through Friday, June 12. 

Preschool Registration:

  • Preschool Registration for the 2020-2021 school year has not yet been announced. Once it is scheduled, information will be posted on the district's social media pages & website.
