SWOC Athletes of the Week graphic

Congratulations to Lauren Butts, Katelyn Corban, Ryan Decker, Chloe Butler, Maria Kuertz, and Julianne Hobson for being selected as the SWOC (Southwestern Ohio Conference) Athletes of the Week (February 17-23). The details regarding each of the student-athletes accomplishments for this week are provided below. We are so proud of all of you!

Lauren Butts - (Senior) Swimming  
  • Lauren earned 1st Team All-Conference honors in Girls Swimming.
Katelyn Corban - (Senior) Swimming
  • Katelyn earned 1st Team All-Conference honors in Girls Swimming. The co-captain of the Edgewood girls swim team, she finished first in the 500 free and 50 free and swam lead leg in both the 2nd place 200m free relay and the champion 400m free relay. Katelyn has qualified for Districts in 3 seasons and her season qualified in 3 events. She has been a positive spirit and brought stability to the competitive spirit of the girls relays.
Ryan Decker - (Senior) Swimming 
  • The captain of the 2019-20 Edgewood boys swim team, Ryan finished 3rd in both the 500 free and 200 IM in SWOC Championships. He has been a positive spirit on the team throughout his 3.5 seasons and a role model to all of his teammates of both sportmanship and competitive spirit.
Chloe Butler - (Junior) Basketball 
  • Chloe led the Cougars with 24 points and 12 rebounds as Edgewood won their first round tournament game over Turpin.
Maria Kuertz - (Sophomore) Swimming
  • Maria earned 1st Team All-Conference honors in Girls Swimming.
Julianne Hobson - (Freshman) Swimming
  • Julianne earned 1st Team All-Conference honors in Girls Swimming.
