Our EMS 7th grade Social Studies students are studying early civilizations of Africa in Mrs. Wiggins class. They are working in groups to research topics about Africa. In addition, they are creating clay representations and posters that will be used during the upcoming Amazing Race through Africa unit. This is generating a lot of excitement, not to mention it's an incredibly effect method for our students to learn and retain information. Truly a great example of project-based learning!
