Local manufacturers open their doors and welcome students and staff to see what it is like to design, build, and work in their facilities on National Manufacturing Day, October 4.
Two of our 7th grade STEM groups, visited Innovative Labeling Solutions, ILS, located on Route 4. This company makes labels for many products we use daily. Our students had the opportunity to hear from several individuals about the process ILS uses for producing digitally printed packaging labels, shrink sleeves, and flexible packaging. They also toured the production area and had the opportunity to ask questions of numerous technicians, production personnel, and management team members. It was a great learning experience for our students.
