Each year the Make-A-Wish foundation of Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana recognizes a single outstanding youth leader, educator, and school or district across all three states for amazing contributions towards wish granting.  With these awards, the foundation strives to highlight those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty and embodies the true spirit of a wish – one who inspires hope, strength, and joy in their school, their community, and their world.  This year, Make-A-Wish has proudly recognized Edgewood City Schools as the “School of the Year” for 2018-2019.

Mrs. Rebecca Bishop, from Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana, presented the award to Mrs. Nicole Panno, EHS Counselor and co-adviser for the Make-A-Wish fundraiser event, accepted the award on behalf of the district. Mrs. Bishop told the audience, "Make-A-Wish could not be more proud of the staff and students at Edgewood City Schools. Due to the fundraising efforts of Edgewood students and staff that generated nearly $13,000, more wishes will be possible to grant to children who are battling life-threatening medical conditions in our area."
