From the Principal
Dear Parent and/or Legal Guardian,
It is with great pride that I introduce myself to you as the new Seven Mile Elementary School Principal. I am excited and truly blessed to be serving the Edgewood Community in this capacity and look forward to working with such a caring and dedicated community and staff in order to meet the needs of all of our students. Our OAA data was released by the state this month. I am pleased to announce that this year Seven Mile received the rating of "Excellent with Distinction". This is the highest rating that a school can get. This is due to the hard work of both the students and staff here at Seven Mile Elementary and I am so proud of each and every one of them. Due to the recent state of the economy and reduction in force, there will be some schedule and staff changes this year. Our Building Leadership Team and staff will continue to focus upon our goal of increasing student achievement.
Prior to this position, I was the Assistant Principal at Bloomfield Elementary. Now, as a building principal, it is my responsibility to make sure that we are working to meet the needs of all students and develop life-long learners. I take very seriously the responsibility to support, maintain and enforce the policies as set forth by the Edgewood Board of Education. Our school fundraiser starts September 8th and runs thru the 22nd so look for that to be coming home and hope you can help support our school.
