Dr. B (as she prefers to be known) has been in education for 35 years. She's had a wide range of experience in education. During the last 12 years, she has served as the Superintendent of Three Rivers Local Schools in Hamilton County. Prior to going to Three Rivers, she worked in Talawanda, Ross, Hamilton City, and New Miami. Her previous positions included teacher, counselor, director of special education, assistant principal, elementary and middle school principal and assistant superintendent. Her education includes a doctorate from Miami University, a master's from the University of Cincinnati, and a bachelor's from Western Kentucky University. When reflecting back on her career, she feels every position was challenging, exciting, enjoyable and provided tremendous opportunities to learn and grow.
Since retiring in 2015, she's remained very busy. In fact, she has completed coursework and licensing requirements at the Napa Valley Wine Academy to become a Certified Specialist of Wine. She also has many passions in life including volunteering at the Animal Friends Humane Society, bicycling, hiking, traveling and reading. She is active in a book club and is inspired to read various types of genres that she may not have typically selected. Most of all, spending time with family and friends (including her two dogs and four cats) keeps her balanced, positive and loving life.
Dr. B's goals are to help you in anyway she can and to be a positive and contributing member of our school district.
Please stop by the Board Office to introduce yourself (she will be here on Tuesdays and Thursdays) or say "Hello" when you see her in your building. Her phone number is (513) 867-3400, ext. 1012; email: rhonda.bohannon@edgewoo
