Over the last two weeks, teams of students in the 8th grade STEM class have been designing and constructing pull toys. This project is part of PLTW (Projects Lead the Way). These teams were required to submit their designs for approval, construct and test their toys so they could be presented to the 7th grade STEM class for review. The 8th grade STEM students applied information taught in their 7th grade PLTW course in order to create these pull toys. The challenge was to tailor their design to fit the requirements while incorporating automation and appealing design. There were so many great, original designs making it a difficult choice for the 7th grade judges!
